2022 Enduro Division Rules

There is no protest allowed in this class!!! These rules apply to the weekly Enduro division only. Not the special event’s Enduro’s.

Eligibility: Rookie drivers who have never raced are eligible for the novice portion of the division. Racers who have ran races in other divisions and other tracks will have to run in the pro portion of this division. After three (3) wins in the rookie division, depending on car count and circumstances the board of directors can take a vote to promote drivers to the pro division. Promoted drivers will take 80% of their accumulated points to the pro division.

Cars: Absolutely no purpose-built racecars can enter the Enduro Division. Cars can be 8,6, or 4 cylinders. Must be mid or full. No compact cars for example -No Chevy Cavaliers. Front or rear wheel drive, foreign or domestic made cars or trucks. No gutting, chopping, torching or cutting of any kind. If this has been done prior to car being purchased or raced, management reserves the right to add weight and determine location of said weight. Rear wheel drive independent suspension must have O camber. If you have any questions as if the car is a high-performance car contact Hendry County Motorsports Park to ask before building. A 4-cylinder box body Mustang is legal provided it is 100% stock regarding motor and suspension and all other aspects of the car. The Hyundai Tiburon is also a legal car provided it is 100% stock and was not built to be a Gladiator or Box stock. Most sports cars are not allowed, however if you have a specific car in question contact management before building or purchasing. All VIN numbers must be in factory location.

Roll Cage: Four -point cage is recommended. three (3) door bars are also recommended, however an Enduro style cage with halo will be accepted. Cars with no cages will not be allowed.

Seat: May run factory seat and up to date factory belt. Recommended mounting an aluminum racing seat and running a 5-point harness.

Engine: Completely stocks engine for the year, make and model. Stock carburetor, no special ordered cars, no high-performance cars unless approved specifically on the rules. No boring, no tinkering with the engine, heads, I OEM, stock, open chamber only for motor used in that year, make and model. Cars with motors not matching will be handicapped in a car by var basis and can possibly be eliminated if dominant. Fuel injected electric fuel pump ok. Must be with stock engine. All readings must conform to manufacturer’s specifications for the year, make and model. I.E., vacuum, compression, etc. Maximum compression 150 labs for all engines. General Motors maximum cubic inches 350, Ford 351, Mopar 360. Nothing larger. NO changing of computer or module through OBD port. No rotary. No turbo charged.

Transmission: Must be stock OEM, unmodified, if a car or truck only came with an automatic transmission this is how it must remain.

Differential: Stock OEM, rear end for that year make and model cannot be welded or locked. No Posi tractions, no change gears in rear end.

Fuel Cell/Fuel: Stock gas tank in stock location, fuel cell optional is mounted inside trunk strapped front to back and side to side. No plumbing strap. Maximum 15 gallons. Must be placed inside steel case with 2 steel straps securely strapped to floor of trunk. No fuel additives. Mandatory fuel shut off if not factory installed, mounted within reach of driver, safety crew/ tech officials.

Wheels and Tires: All tires must be the same size as what came in the car from the factory. DOT series passenger tires only. No exceptions. No grooving or siping. No truck or trailer tires. Offset measure from back of wheel, no wider than 7” must match stock wheel.

Rims: Stock OEM wheels, no racing wheels, no altering of wheels allowed. No bead locks. No camber, crash damage only which will be monitored by track.

Suspension: Stock, OEM suspension. No modifications of any kind. No camber except crash damage. Crash damage will be determined by HCMSP.

Battery: Battery may be relocated and must be safely secured. Battery disconnects switch mandatory. Mounted within reach of driver, safety / tech officials.

Brakes: All four (4) brakes must be in working order at all times. Brakes must be stock for the year, make, and model.

Safety: Full charged fire extinguisher mounted within reach of driver, track safety crew/ tech officials. All required safety equipment and apparel must be in use while the car is on the track. Racing helmet with Snell 95 rating, neck brace or Hans device is recommended. Fire suite with SFI minimum rating “1”. No holes or torn fire suites allowed. Fire resistant gloves, shoes, and socks must be worn at all times when car is on track.

Miscellaneous: Remove all air bags, glass, trailer hitches and flammables. Doors must be welded, chained or wired with 9-gauge wire to keep door shut. Hood hinges must remain in stock locations. All body sheet metal must be kept in place at all times. No sheet meatal screws, use pop rivets only. No factory bumper foam allowed. Must use spray foam.

Car Numbers: 1,2, or 3 digits, letters are ok. All other general and safety rules apply. Keep it stock OEM. The track management reserves the right to add or delete rules at the discretion to improve the racing. Their decision is final in all cases. Any driver participating in another division is not allowed to compete in the novice portion of this division at all. If you have questions or rule interpretations, please contact HCMSP tech before you do anything. A 4.6 or Gladiator driver who has never won a race or had positive results based on the track opinion may apply to move down to the novice division, but this would be a case-by-case basis. This class has a board of seven (7) directors that will make all rule decisions. A majority of five (5) is required to make any changes. Any driver may participate in the advanced portion of this division.

If a rookie / novice dominates and wins three (3) races with a field of five (5) cars or more they will be promoted at the board’s discretion to the advanced division with 80% of their accumulated points from the rookie division.
