RULES HAVE CHANGED TO MORE GUT-N-GO STYLE. In short. To level the field stock car- any tires, bumper swap and 9 wire. Aside from safety, fuel tank and battery.

RULES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. YOU WILL NOT RUN A CAR BUILT OUTSIDE OF THE RULES FOR CAR COUNT. keeping it cheap & fun for ALL

1980+ with exceptions on gm metric cars that started in 78. cars only

*Mini vans allowed

*Mini trucks allowed s10- ranger type.

*no, trucks or vans. No 4×4.

*All cars must be stock, no motor swaps, no reinforcements to the frame, body or suspension.

PROTECTION:

*Mandatory protection bar behind the seat. Dash bar with door bar is allowed.

* rollover bars allowed.

TIRES:

* any tire is ok; we do not want flats.

* all bumpers may be swapped to any passenger car bumper.

* Suspension will be one stock. Do t stiffen or raise it. You can drive your stiff car back on the trailer.

* fresh cars may dimple or cut frame in 1 spot of rear of the car

* battery must be moved to cab of vehicle and fastened down.

* gas tanks must be moved to cab if its stock position is behind the rear axle. If its in front of the rear end like most fwd. cars it can stay.

* must have working seat belt

* all interiors must be removed if windshield is clean/ unbroken you may run it.

If windshield is removed, you must have either bars or a screen to keep objects from coming in.

* no pre denting

* exhaust may be re directed out of the hood or headers.

*Trunk and hood may be chained or 9 wired down. Up to 6 spots on hood and 6 spots on trunk

* frame is to remain completely stock. Nothing altered in any way.

YOU MAY WELD YOUR REAR ENDS!

* no welding at all unless stated

*12″ hole must be cut in the hood for fires

As well as a 12″ hole in trunk for inspection.

• Gm cars can have 8 inches of rear hump plate, with a cut in frame directly behind the plate.
•  * gm cars can cut firewalls 10 inches wide by 10” tall anything over that size will have a piece of steel screwed across it.
• Although this is a stock derby, you are allowed to do things to keep your car running… move your ground wires off the fender and re ground it anywhere better. Remove fan and replace it with an electric fan. On fuel injected cars you should reroute all or some wires.
• If you bring a car with anything outside the rules, you will not run. We will not be cutting anything.
• This Derby is for everyone to be on the same level beginners and veterans.  Do your homework and pick the best car you can find.
